A seminar was organized at the University of Peradeniya to disseminate knowledge and awareness on Avon best practices in CSR, laboratory practices at a molecular biology laboratories conducting PCR, RT PCR, Genomics and Primers and etc recently.

“Maintenance of Laboratory Equipment & Laboratory Practices in Molecular Biology Applications”
& “Secrets of Work Place Success”
on 11th December 2015 at the Agricultural Biotechnology Center organized by Peradeniya University Technological Officers’ Welfare Association in Collaboration with Avon Pharmo Chem (Pvt.) Ltd.
The event was launched with the presence of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, The Registrar, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture. Also Dr Suranga Kodithuwakku, the Acting Director of Agriculture Biotechnology center was also present.
The Guest speech by Dr Chalinda Benaragama on secrets of workplace success was a great interest to all the participants and a lot of positive feedbacks were received after the event on Avon’s extended services to University of Peradeniya.
Avon team displayed a few instruments like PCR Thermal Cycler, Quantus Fluorometer and different micropipettes at the event and it was helpful for those present to have first hand experience
